Emery’s showing lot os artistic ability. Her teachers are really impressed with her eye for detail on her work. Here’s a turkey drawing she made. She did not make the paragraph of writing but wrote her name, dates and put together everything else.
Dear Santa
Here’s Emery’s first self written letter to Santa Clause. Ashley helped her spell the word but this was Emery’s self formed sentence.
We were painting before the letter and Emery just loved painted nails!
Sleepy time
I was feeling really sleepy this weekend. Emery snuggled up with me to watch some TV on the couch.
Emery’s first homework assignment complete!
This weekend Emery’s Pre K teacher, Ms Amy gave students an assignment. Emery was suppose to read a book and then draw a picture of her favorite part and describe why.
Emery did this entirely herself. We did not touch it though we helped her spell out the words and directed her in the drawing. Emery did an amazing job and is writing a sentence all by herself for the first time.
Ashley and I are so proud.
Emery’s first back pack
Last week the pre-k teacher told us her cute strawberry backpack just wasn’t cutting it and that we needed a “real” backpack. So this weekend, we went to Gymboree and Emery choose one that she liked. Later at home she added more dangly keychains on it. Here she is looking now like all the other turtle kids with their giant backpacks.
