Apple Picking & Spooky Treats

This past friday we took Emery to halloween fest in Roswell and she hung out with Kate and Lucas.  This weekend and today we took Emery apple picking with the Lo’s.  Emery and Eva darted from tree to tree picking up apples and having a blast poking them with sticks.  Then today Ashley and Emery went to Marianela’s house and they made monster marshmellows and gingerbread houses!

Happy New Year

It’s Chinese New Year and we dressed Em B up in her last years chines Outfit. The pants were too big but the shirt fit perfectly. We found some red pants anyways and she was quite festive.

We didn’t do much else this year to celebrate the year of the dragon but Em b always livens up the holiday spirit. Here’s some pics of the little B at school when we dropped her off. She is never that happy so we dot expect big smiles in the morning…otherwise we might be worried! 🙂

New Year’s Resolution Post More

Wow another long stint without touching this blog.  I don’t really have much of an excuse, I am on the computer a lot, my phone has a app that can post to the blog any time yet I still manage to be such a slacker.  My resolution for the blog this year is to post more.  At least once a month if even just a photo or anything.  I am going to try to keep my posts shorter, but more frequent.

Here’s a few great photos from recent events:

Taking Emery to Piedmont Park

Xmas in Atlanta

This Christmas we had quite a number of guests over. Ashley two sisters along with their family came over. So our little one bedroom was a buzz with activity. There were 6 adults, Ash, me, Audrey, Tomo, Ziggy and Tomo. There were three kids, Emery, Megan, and Dylan. And last but no least our two dogs.

We did our usual Christmas tradition and opened up gifts by the tree Christmas morning. Megan facilitated the presents distribution calling out who was suppose to open a gift next. With so many people around, there was so many gifts under the tree. It was a wonderful time and Emery got to enjoy her first Christmas with our extended family. Here’s some pictures from that morning.

Here’s Tomo buried alive under the left over gift wrap…

Valentine’s Day February 2010

We love Valentine’s Day. It’s always romantic and no matter which city we are living in at the time, we find something fun to do and really enjoy each others’ company.  This year, we started off with making a nice breakfast at home.  Shortly before we got out of bed, someone knocked on our door and it turned out to be a flower delivery guy.  Ray had a nice arrangement delivered for me and it was so sweet of him.  What a nice way to start the day. 🙂 We spent the rest of the morning and afternoon walking around the city.  Later on that night, we dined at a nice seafood restaurant near our place called City Lobster.  We passed by that place many times throughout the year and finally had a chance to try it.   Ray had a nice 2-pound lobster meal, while I got a fresh lobster salad.  Very delicious.  The sides were also really good. The best part of it all was that it was only a 5-minute walk from our place and we took a nice stroll home after dinner.

This is our second year celebrating Valentine’s Day in New York City.  It’s really a great city to spend this special occasion in because there’s always so many options and places to go and things to do.  A lot has happened in a year.  Last year, we spent Valentine’s Day riding a horse carriage in Central Park and we lived out of a hotel. This year, we are actually settled in to our apartment and no longer feel like a tourist. 🙂
