Emery and Ducky

Emery loves bath time. At first she was really afraid of the water and gasped whenever we put her in the tub. Now at 9 months Emery is splashing and holding her little Ducky like a fish in water. Here’s some Emery bath pics with her and the blue Ducky.

Emery and Nai Nai

Last night a long awaited event took place. Emery and her Great Grandmother (whom Ashley and I call Nai Nai) safely arrived in Atlanta! Nai Nai was so excited and happy to see Emery and Emery felt the same way. The two hit it off immediately. Nai Nai is going to stay 2 months with us here in Atlanta and bond with her great grand daughter! Emery is so lucky.

Emery’s First Day of Daycare

Today was Emery’s first day at the YWCA day care. Finally after 9 months of staying home with Ash, Emery was ready to meet other babies, and be a big girl. I took the day off in case Ashley needed a shoulder to cry on. It was also Valentine’s day, so we got to spend some alone time together and had a nice brunch at Highland Bakery.

When we dropped Emery off she didn’t cry, and I think she wasn’t completely sure what was going on. We said our good byes and I swear Ash might have had some wetness around the eyes! 🙂

When we picked her up, the teachers reported that she was good, played with the other kids and didn’t fuss at all! Emery is such a good girl and now all grown up!

She’s Mobile

Yup, as of today Emery took her first four legged crawl. It all started with her sitting nicely on the alphabet mat. Ten she notices a plastic bag that crackled loudly. She leaned over and almost as if it was just another normal thing to do began to move her hind legs and arms together. It was really amazing.

Xmas in Atlanta

This Christmas we had quite a number of guests over. Ashley two sisters along with their family came over. So our little one bedroom was a buzz with activity. There were 6 adults, Ash, me, Audrey, Tomo, Ziggy and Tomo. There were three kids, Emery, Megan, and Dylan. And last but no least our two dogs.

We did our usual Christmas tradition and opened up gifts by the tree Christmas morning. Megan facilitated the presents distribution calling out who was suppose to open a gift next. With so many people around, there was so many gifts under the tree. It was a wonderful time and Emery got to enjoy her first Christmas with our extended family. Here’s some pictures from that morning.

Here’s Tomo buried alive under the left over gift wrap…
