It’s Chinese New Year and we dressed Em B up in her last years chines Outfit. The pants were too big but the shirt fit perfectly. We found some red pants anyways and she was quite festive.
We didn’t do much else this year to celebrate the year of the dragon but Em b always livens up the holiday spirit. Here’s some pics of the little B at school when we dropped her off. She is never that happy so we dot expect big smiles in the morning…otherwise we might be worried! 🙂
Emery knows So many words now. She is a regular bubbly girl at home. Here’s a list of her favorite words at 20 months. These are words she can pronounce as well as know the meaning of below. Also check out this great audio of her and Ashley together. Emery Shows Her New Vocabulary
Nai Nai (milk)
popu (emery’s nickname for poke)
Papa (emery’s nickname for Cappy)
No (she says this too much)
Block (for her Lego mega blocks)
Hot (hot food or stuff she should not touch)
Poop (when she dirties her diaper)
Walk (when she wants to walk herself)
Up (when she wants to be picked up)
Hello (when picking up the phone)
Na nice ( when not suppose to hit)
Uh oh (when something has fallen or dropped)
I counted 41 words! There’s probably more I am forgetting now, but Emery is picking up new words all the time. It’s wonderful to here her. She also calls out to our parents and siblings but I don’t think she can register them with the words so I don’t count them for now in her vocab. From just a pronunciation perspective Emery can say almost all
of the alphabet. She has some trouble with R, G,J,V and X but amazing to here her go through all of them. Up next numbers!
A few snaps of Em B in Dec 2011
Wow another long stint without touching this blog. I don’t really have much of an excuse, I am on the computer a lot, my phone has a app that can post to the blog any time yet I still manage to be such a slacker. My resolution for the blog this year is to post more. At least once a month if even just a photo or anything. I am going to try to keep my posts shorter, but more frequent.
Here’s a few great photos from recent events:
